IIT Bombay Celebrates Holi

Holi was celebrated in its colourful fervour at IIT Bombay on March 2, 2018. The Hostel Affairs Council of IIT Bombay combined with Zoomcar conducted some events to bring awareness about the cycle-pooling project of the Institute.

Cycle-pooling project is an environment-friendly and techno-economic solution for the transportation purposes. This project is helping the residents of IIT Bombay to travel throughout the Institute campus very comfortably with no pollution. Two contests were conducted in which students and staff of IIT Bombay participated:

Slow Cycle Race

Concept: A cycling track was created with the help of cones. The participants had to take maximum time to complete the track. During the attempt, if the participant's feet touched the ground, they got a 10 seconds penalty. If they hit a cone, they got a 5 seconds penalty.

Prize: Every hour, the participant having the highest score got a PEDL T-shirt and Rs. 500 worth Zoomcar driving credits.

Crazy Holi Picture

Concept: Participants had to click images with PEDL and post on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.

Prize: Every hour, the participant who posted the craziest and most creative image on Instagram or Facebook got Rs. 300 worth Zoomcar driving credits and a PEDL T-shirt.
